The Club Charter - Adopted On Tuesday 5th December 2006
1. The club was established for the purpose of supporting the Northern Ireland International Football team. 2. The George Best Memorial, Mossley NISC is open to all genuine Northern Ireland football fans, regardless of religious, cultural, racial or political background, gender, age, sexual orientation or disability. This is wholly in keeping with the principles of the Irish Football Association's 'Football For All' campaign, which the club wholeheartedly supports and promotes. 3. The business of the club shall be conducted by the Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer and all 16 members of the club. Members shall at all times respect the chair. The Secretary shall keep minutes of all meetings and a register of members attending meetings. 4. The Chairman may summon a meeting of the club at any time, with each member to have at least 48 hours notice. 5. In the absence of the Chairman a committee member will take the chair and proceed with the business of the club. At meetings, the minutes of the last meeting or committee meeting, shall be read and confirmed by all attendees. 6. All questions shall be decided by a majority of votes of the members present, the Chairman to have the casting vote on an equal division. 7. The business of the club must remain confidential. 8. The club shall have the power to exclude any member who may be considered injurious to the club, provided that two thirds of the members decide at a specially summoned meeting to consider the matter. 9. The Officers of the club shall be chosen annually for a period of twelve months. The election to take place in January and installation of officers to take place the following meeting. All officials shall retire each year and shall be eligible for re-election at the AGM. 10. Any application for membership of the club must be proposed and seconded by an existing member. All dues will be paid monthly by direct debit on the 28th of the month and new members will be required to pay a membership fee and an equal division of the current bank balance. 11. The remaining club members will deal with members who fail to abide by the rules or bring the club into disrepute. 12. Members not attending for 3 consecutive meetings will be sent a letter of enquiry by the Secretary. If no response is received within an acceptable time period the member will be expelled. All members should play a full and active role and support the club in all we do. 13. The Chairman will notify all members by email or circular for all club meetings. 14. The Treasurer shall receive all money for the club and keep regular accounts of all his receipts and expenditure and only make payments on a vote of the club. He shall if called upon give a balance sheet of club accounts. The Chairman and the Treasurer will act as the club trustees.
